Finnish company Woodio Oy, known for its ecological bathroom furniture, is investing in a new production facility in the Jokimaa district of Lahti.

Spatium Toimitilat Oy is responsible for the construction of Woodio’s new production facility. According to the company’s CEO, Jouni Kanervo, the new property represents a significant investment for Spatium:
“The construction of the Woodio factory is a strategically important project for us. The building process will utilize new technologies related to ecological solutions and the circular economy. In connection with the project, we will apply for the internationally recognized BREEAM environmental certificate, aiming for the ‘Very Good’ level (Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method).”
The new factory will feature a higher level of automation, and a flexible production line will better support the manufacturing of various products.
“We are truly excited about our new factory. This investment aims to significantly increase our production capacity, enabling us to take on larger projects and, in the future, also offer contract manufacturing,” says Woodio CEO Terja Koskenoja.
The new factory is scheduled to begin operations in spring 2025.
